John Bacon, Investor and CEO of The Link Group
John Bacon has a background in science and established a private consultancy business in 1989. This business evolved into the Link Pharmaceutical Group, a supplier of highly specialist medicines and medical devices. Initially based in Sydney and with partner companies in North America and Europe, the group expanded to New Zealand in 2001 and is currently moving into the markets of Southern Africa and SE Asia. John has guided the Group as CEO since founding the business and along the way has developed an interest in mentoring and investing in start-up businesses in the health care sector.
He was a founding shareholder in Flordis Herbal Medicines in 2002 and has recently exited the business after seeing it develop from a small management buy-out to a multinational premium brand of herbal medicines.
He is currently involved in five start-up companies in various stages of development in Australia and overseas and has a strong interest in assisting small and under-supported charities

Mat Beeche is the Owner of Shoe String Launch and the Editor of Shoe String Launch Magazine. He comes from a recruitment and sales background and is passionate about profiling startups and entrepreneurs.
At Shoe String Launch, Matt is dedicated to profiling startups and services that assist startups in building their business. We provide a salesforce for startup businesses to sell their products and services so they can grow their business in the early stages.
He supports and encourages entreprenuers whether they be the young guns, the mumprenuers and parents, the serial business creators and builders or simply those that want to just work for themseleves with their own small business.

Gareth Rose, Lead Entrepreneur, iPitch.com.au
Gareth Rose is now involved in his 4th startup, iPitch.com.au the Australian online community for startup entrepreneurs. Running iPitch, Gareth has unique exposure to the startup space in Australia, working closely with early stage business investors and engaging with literally hundreds of startup founders about the unique aspects of their businesses.
Prior to iPitch, Gareth spent the last few years building up extensive entrepreneurial experience co-founding the digital comic and retail startup Zynasty G and working in two other startups. Before breaking away from the 9-5 life, Gareth had previously worked in B2B sales and consulting in the areas of software and software services.
With this background and skill set Gareth focuses his interests on tech startups. He looks to bring his business strategy, sales and marketing experience to advise (or partner with) tech or creative skilled entrepreneurs trying to startup high potential businesses.
